This webinar will provide an overview of robust creative arts opportunities for volunteers and your residents. The speakers will talk in-depth about where to find volunteers, provide resources for programming, and give specific examples of both virtual and in-person arts-based programming. A description of volunteer models will be shared, along with the strategies and methods used to train volunteers before they work with residents. By equipping volunteers with the necessary training and tools, providers can ensure better quality interactions for their residents.

Attendees will be able to:

  • Participants will gain at least 3 resources to enhance creative arts volunteer programming.
  • Participants will understand how volunteering in an arts-based program can improve younger people’s perceptions of older people.
  • Participants will learn methods for training and equipping volunteers with essential person-centered practices.
