Software Engineering Intern

Linked Senior, the leading provider of life enrichment software for the long term care market, is seeking a talented individual to work on various parts of our life enrichment platform. We’re looking for an exceptional student with a strong academic background, who is also a disciplined self-starter capable of working in a fast paced, agile team environment. You must be confident in your work and have a passion for learning. Additionally, we’re looking for an engineer that embodies our culture and core values of integrity, customer experience, teamwork, determination, fun, and improving the lives of older adults!

Required Skills and Experience

• Undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science or related background preferred
• Strong GPA
• Strong knowledge of Java, Object-Oriented analysis and design
• Good knowledge of software development principles and design patterns

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Node.js
• Experience with GIT
• Experience with SQL and familiarity with MySql
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Familiarity with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, etc.)

Personal Qualifications

• Self-motivated, quick learner, detail oriented and well organized.
• Independent problem solver with strong technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in small teams with minimum supervision.
• Ability to learn new technologies and software quickly.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, start-up environments.
