Senior care expert Michael Torgan joins Linked Senior Board of Advisors

Washington DC, March, 7th 2017: – Linked Senior, the leading life enrichment platform for the senior care market, announced today the addition of Mr Michael Torgan to its Board of Advisors. Mr Torgan has been a leader in the post-acute care industry for over 25 years bringing executive and thought leadership through large scale skilled nursing and sub-acute operations and management.

Michael Torgan will help the Linked Senior management team in the development and execution of the strategic and business aspect of its operation, contribute his thinking to improve the company’s offering to the senior care market, gain market share, and bring his perspective and experience in introducing disruptive innovation in the industry.

Michael Torgan is a third generation long-term and post-acute healthcare professional, with over 25 years of experience in healthcare management. He served on the senior management team with First Quality, an international leading manufacturer of absorbent hygiene products.  Mr. Torgan role included overseeing the business development and strategy for First Quality’s healthcare division for North America.  Prior to his current role, he spent over 23 years with Country Villa Health Services completing his tenure as the company’s President serving in that role for 8  years having organizational oversight for as many as 51 skilled nursing facilities throughout California involving over 7,000 employees that provided care to over 20,000 patients a year.  His extensive experience in managed care and post-acute care delivery models aided Country Villa to be one of the first aligned with managed care organizations in shared risk programs.

Mr. Torgan is a recognized speaker throughout California and nationally on the topics of quality improvement, compliance, trends in long term care management and post-acute delivery models.  He has been an active participant in government relations advocating for the post-acute profession at the state and federal levels for both California Association of Health Facilities (CAHF) and American Healthcare Association (AHCA).  In 2010, he was the recipient of the AHCA/NCAL, Joe Warner Patient Advocacy Award.  Mr. Torgan has been appointed to a number of Statewide Committees including California HIT Financing Advisory Commission and California AB1629 MediCal Stakeholder Task Force.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in molecular biology from University of California, Santa Cruz and a Master in Business Administration with a certificate in Hospital Administration from Boston University.
