Join Dr. Tracey Gendron, Gerontologist and Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Gerontology, in a discussion about taking the next steps to disrupt ageism in your organization.  Leaders have the responsibility to set the vision, mission and values, and create and maintain culture.  Learn about how to inspire others to work toward the vision and mobilization of resources to accomplish the vision. Do you and your team have the tools to break through a lifetime of negative messages that affect how we feel about aging and older people?

Participants will learn how attitudes about aging affect job satisfaction, staff recruitment and retention within aging services organizations.

Dr. Tracey Gendron
Gerontologist and Associate Professor
Virginia Commonwealth University

Dr. Tracey Gendron is  the Interim Chair and an Associate Professor in the Department of Gerontology in the College of Health Professions at Virginia Commonwealth University. Tracey has a Master’s of Science in Gerontology, a Master’s of Science in Psychology and a PhD in Developmental Psychology. She teaches several graduate and undergraduate service-based courses including grant writing, research methods and biology of aging.
