Recorded on: 04/14/2020

Live Webinar: Tuesday, April 14th, from 1pm – 2pm ET

We all have different ideas about what it means to grow older. Our perceptions are influenced by experiences, family and friends and the media. Aging itself isn’t negative, however we see ageism in the many undesirable references and representations in our society. In this webinar we’ll explore the messages we receive about growing older and how they can influence the care and support of older people. We’ll then talk about the next step, how we can be part of changing the lens of aging.

Participants will:

1. Recognize their own perception of aging and what influences that.

2. Understand what ageism means and how it is a factor in the care and services they provide to older people.

3. Identify three things that can positively affect their own view of aging.
