Live Summit: Tuesday, June 23rd, from 11am – 6pm EST

The first of its kind virtual summit event for activity and life enrichment professionals in senior living. This event was hosted and managed by Linked Senior and gathered resident engagement experts to help the audience understand the impact of COVID-19 on activities and life enrichment, explore the best practices and methods to continue engaging senior living residents with purpose and outline the long lasting changes that will occur in how we build person-centered experiences for older adults in senior living and beyond.

Our event partners were the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals, the National Association of Activity Professionals and the Validation Training Institute.

Objectives:
• Understand the impact of COVID-19 on today and tomorrow’s resident engagement efforts
• Learn about loneliness and social isolation and how to mitigate their negative effects on the health and well-being of senior living residents
• Be able to create and implement person-centered and effective resident engagement strategies within the context of COVID-19

Speakers included: Ashton Applewhite, Anne Basting, Kenya Bryant, Amanda Bulgarelli, Penny Cook, Charles de Vilmorin, Kirsten Jacobs, Katie Avila Loughmiller, Peter Slatin, Alisa Tagg, Sarah Thomas and Dawn Worsley.
