Washington DC, September 8th 2014: – Christian Homes, Inc., the second largest not-for-profit long-term health care provider in the U.S.,  is deploying Linked Senior at their 13 communities starting with an initial implementation of four locations.

A cloud-based dementia and therapy engagement software, Linked Senior improves outcomes, client satisfaction and helps reduce anti-psychotic drug use by supporting person-centered life enrichment. Through interactive touch screen kiosks and tablets, the platform enables the staff to conduct quality programming and therapy based on the clients’ needs.

“We are pleased with Linked Senior’s capabilities, and achievable performance in terms of providing not only a more personalized approach to our residents but as used in group settings which enhances socialization as well.” said Sherry Gutermuth, Senior Vice-president of Operations for Christian Homes, Inc “Being able to enrich the lives of our residents while utilizing a platform that is easy-to-use and self-directed, as well as being available nights and on weekends, is exciting. We look forward to exploring the many possible uses for Linked Senior in all of our communities, and we can see the potential for the immediate benefits it offers in terms of engaging all residents, especially those with dementia.”

Linked Senior’s mission is to enhance life in senior communities. By empowering the staff with these tools, an organization can offer its residents advanced programs that are more person-centered, thereby improving quality of care and client satisfaction. The result is better dementia engagement that improves quality of life, staff productivity and client satisfaction

According to Charles de Vilmorin, Linked Senior CEO, “We’re thrilled to partner with Christian Homes. Working with such an organization reaffirms the values behind our company. Their commitment to quality of life no matter who the individual is and their physical and cognitive level is a true example of person-centered care. We look forward to supporting their dementia engagement efforts by helping them advance their technological agenda.”

Data and clinical research show that more than 60% of assisted living and 80% of nursing home residents have some level of cognitive impairment. With the increase in client acuity and the recent anti-psychotic drug reduction CMS initiative, providing quality care has never been as challenging. By empowering dementia care engagement, Linked Senior provides a simple and effective answer to comply with regulations while supporting person-centered care.
